SUNY New Paltz and the Mid-Hudson Astronomical Association have joined forces to provide the public with a unique opportunity to view an astronomical event that will not occur again in the lifetime of any person alive today.

WHAT exactly is the Transit of Venus? At 6:03PM local time the planet Venus will, from our perspective, appear to touch the edge of the sun and begin its journey or transit across the face of our home star.
