Why is RSVP-ing in Meetup and my vehicle info required?

Because we are utilizing a New York State park after normal operating hours, we have to register our guests and their vehicles' information with the park officials who patrol it after hours. Technically, you can be kicked out if you are not registered as an after hours guest.

Meetup RSVPs

RSVP-ing through Meetup allows us to easily collect the information we need. You will be prompted for your vehicle info immediately after you click/tap the RSVP button; don't overlook it! If your vehicle information is incomplete or missing your RSVP will be changed to Not Attending a few days prior to the event and you will have to re-RSVP with your vehicle information.

Meetup does not notify users when an admin changes a guest's RSVP status, but we will post a message to the event reminding everyone to confirm their status and re-RSVP with their vehicle info if they were changed to not attending.

RSVP deadline

We generally supply the list of cars in the afternoon of the day before the event, so you must have your RSVP info correct prior to that.  We advise that you RSVP as Attending even if you're uncertain you can make it. There's no penalty for being on the list and absent, but if you're not on the list you technically aren't supposed to be there.
